The French Society for the Study of Lipids (SFEL) is pleased to inform you of the opening of the call for applications for its 2023 thesis prize. This prize rewards research work carried out in France to obtain 'a university thesis in a field related to oilseeds, fatty substances and/or lipids: production of oilseeds, analyses, biochemical or physicochemical characterization of lipids, transformation of fatty substances, non-food use, lipid nutrition, lipids and health...

The SFEL thesis prize is worth 1000 Euros and will be awarded on the occasion of the Congress of the Study and Research Group in Lipidomics (GERLI) which will be held in Paris from October 16 to 18, 2023 (https: //www.gerli.com/congres/welcome-to-gerli-17th-lipidomics-meeting-2/), congress during which the laureate will present their work. Registration and travel costs will be covered by the SFEL. It is open to candidates meeting the following conditions:

- Have defended their thesis at the time of submission of the application, and no more than 2 years previously,

- Be a member of the SFEL or be attached to a French research team of which at least one of the collaborators is a member of the SFEL.




The application file must be sent to us by email before July 31, 2023, and include the following elements, without exceeding 4 pages:

- a letter of application

- a CV showing titles, publications and work

- a one-page presentation of the work, highlighting the main results obtained and the link with the lipid sector of interest.
